GAHHHH....

      So right now it is 1:30am and I am STILL hacking up a lung... I am not able to sleep... I WANT TO but the constant coughing is keeping me awake and then there is also the fact that Charlie snores no matter what position he is laying in! I have had this cough for maybe a week now and I want it to just leave me alone and to take its friend, runny nose, with it!
      My OB had told me two days ago that I could take Robitussin (without the additives) and I could also take Benadryl which makes me drowsy! I took it about at hour ago and I am feeling it now but I am still hacking up my lung so I think that in about 5 minutes I am going to take more robitussin and head to be!
      I had my first Birthing Class today, well techinally it was suppose to be last tuesday but the instructor was out of town, I really enjoy my instructor! Her name in Karle and She is pregnant and due in October! But today she was telling me stories (since I was the only one in class) about two ladies and epidurals... 
      One being about a lady who had her mind set on not having one because her mother-in-law told her that women who got them never experienced childbirth and were not really mothers but this lady was set on not getting one... but because her blood pressure was so high and it was so dangerous and labor wasnt really progressing that she had to have one.... Karle saw her a couple days later and she said that she was so depressed and it was all because she had to have the Epidural
      The second one is this lady was in labor and wanted the epidural but by the time that the Anesthesiologist got there that she had already had her baby.... the lady was in labor for ten minutes and had her baby... I guess to this day that if you ask that lady about that birth she gets sad because she didnt have her epidural....
      I was like are you kidding I would rather feel the pain and have a ten minute delivery then have it drawn out and painful... and not to mention YOUR BABY I FINE....
      SO now I am off to take some more Robitussin and see if I can sleep! I dont know what it is but I get this tickeling in my throat and sometimes I think that I am going to throw up but it is just a weird tickeling.. it is not acid reflux either...

So far....

      So nothing that exciting has happened ... well not to me anyway! So since I found out that I have Gestational Diabetes and had to poke my finger 4 times a day, my poor little piggies have hurt but to their relief Dr. verBeek has told me that I only have to draw blood 2 times a day... Fasting and then one meal but lately my blood sugar has been a little high due to the fact that I was sick for the last 3 days!
      I was suppose to have a doctors appointment June 6th, which happened to be my dad's birthday, but the week before that I thought that I was loosing part of my mucus plug and having contractions but now I realize they were just Braxton Hicks... so they called ad told me to come in, it was May 31, and they ran a test and told me that I had a "certain" infection.... but I have another appointment June 30th, my little brothers birthday, with which they shall test for Group Strep B and also see if I am dilating that way if I do have contractions they will be able to know if I am really in labor if I go in for contractions...
      Two of my friends have recently had their babies... My friend Bridgette Kehrer had her daughter, Madison Rae who might I add is the cutest thing I have ever seen.... and Chrissy Turner had her little boy Daniel and HOLY CROW is he one of the cutest little boys that I have ever seen in all my life! Granted my little lamb will be the top cutest little boy that I have ever seen but I wont brag... :D
      I am in the process of crocheting Liam a baby blanket and it seems to be taking forever... but I have no idea how to end it when the time comes?? hmmmm
      I have half of one done for my niece Giana that I started forever ago! I made a blanket for my niece Adona(giana's older sister)when I went down to Vegas and first met Jena and Dave and the girls.. so I thought that I would make one for Giana which is only fair... now I have to also make one for my Nephew, who's due July 25... a week before me!
      

NNNNNNNOOOOOOO.....

      So being home for a week now is a little weird, but thats okay I was practically gone for 3 weeks. As soon as I got home the OB called me and told me that I did not pass the 1 hour Glucose Test and that since I didn't that I had to come down for the 3 HOUR TEST!!!
      Shoot me NOW!! I had my 28 week check with the OB and for once Dr. ver Beek didn't smell like old nasty coffee breath but that could be because I was leaning away from him. He measured my belly and told me that the growth was good and that I was gaining weight!! 5 Lbs. since the last visit! While he was measuring my belly I don't know if it was the pressure he was applying to my pelvis but I got to say DID NOT FEEL GOOD.  He also told me that were I feel Liam at 99% of the time is me feeling his bum...
      Then he told me that I needed to go down and do my 3 hour Glucose Test! So I went yesterday and was saddened that I got the Lemon Lime flavor (NASTY) instead of the Fruit Punch which would have been more manageable I think! I had the same lady drawing my blood for this test that I did for the last test and again she commented on how she bet I was the life of all the drinking parties cause I downed that crap like no bodies business! 
       So she took my blood before the drinking of the Nasty Crap proceeded, my fasting blood sugar I think.... then I drank the crap and waited for an hour. More blood drawing.... at 10:30, 11:30, 12:30 and then 1:30! I thought that they only draw it 3 times but NOPE it was 4 TIMES!!! Each time hurt a little more then the next! 
      When it was finally over I could finally EAT, I was so hungry after not eating for 17 hours! I had left over pizza, some peanuts, a banana, and a yummy Lemon Sour Cream Pie and it was delicious!! OH and about 3 glasses of milk!! I was so exhausted!!!
      Then today at about 9:30 Sarah the manager of the womens clinic that I see the OB at calls and I know what she is going to tell me!! YUP I HAVE GESTATIONAL DIABETES!!!! I knew it!! She did tell me though that my blood sugar levels were not that high but that I need to meet with the Dietitian and that I will have to start checking my blood sugar 4 times a day..... 
      I just prey that it goes away after pregnancy. Charlie this morning is telling me that problems with having Gestational Diabetes and the effects it could have on Liam.... NOW WHY would you tell me those things! Its my first child don't try and scare the hell out of me with this medial talk! I did reply to him with "well then he will be oh so special just like you" hahahaha pay back!
      Nah but I know that Liam Wiley will be the hottest thing coming this July (other then his cousin who is due 6 days before him) and it will be because he has got his mamma's looks!!! Oh and I have already betrothed him to Miss Madison Rae.... :D

      So Today was the day that I left to come home to watch my sisters children while She, Her Husband and Her In Laws flew to London and then through out the next 3 weeks travel to Ireland, Scotland and France. My flight was at 1:55 pm and we left our apartment at about 8:00 or 8:30 in the morning..... which i thought was a good plan considering there was to be construction on the way there... I ended up getting to the airport in Portland about 11:15ish and i sat by my gate for a WHOLE 2 HOURS.... bored out of my mind and tired.
      So as time drew on I finally boreded the plane at about 12:35 and was seated at the back of the plan next to a lady who I found out later on the plan was a nurse but not a delivery nurse as she said that "I hope you dont have that baby..." due to the crazy turbulance... the flight was boring but suprisingly fast and I remember landing and the pilot put on the breaks I had to put my hand on the seat in fornt of me... I looked at her and said "Well if I were in labor the baby would totally have SHOT out by now!"
      My dad and my 2 nephews picked me up form the airport but not before I stood in the cold for a little bit, I got in the car and Micah SCREAMS so loud "BIRDIE".... hahaha I love that little boy. I went back with my dad to the house and hung out till me mom got home form work... first thing she does is rub my belly..... I LOVE MY MOMMY!!!! Then we came to jandre's house and my little brother stayed with us.....

It's Official

      I am an Oregonian.... after thinking that I could get me license on Monday they told me that I couldn't get it cause I didn't have a certified copy of my birth certificate! 
      So I ordered it online and it gave me two options 3-5 day processing and then a week to 10 days to ship by regular mail... UH no a good option cause I need my new license to claim my plane ticket so that I can go home (April 13) to watch my nephews....OR..... 1-2 day processing and UPS air which would cost me $18.50 and get it sooner.... I chose spend the $18.50 and ended up spending $54 for the whole thing.
      So I ordered it Monday, thought that it would come next wednesday, and today I was in the bath and I heard this really loud pounding on my front door... I thought REALLY.... I grabbed a towel and answered the door slowly..... IT WAS THE UPS MAN!!! I got so excited that I forgot that I was an almost completely naked pregnant women standing in the doorway... I went and put on close and guess what it was that I got????
      MY CERTIFIED COPY OF MY BIRTH CERTIFICATE!! now all I have to worry about is PACKING and NAVIGATING my way around the Portland Airport.... 

20 Week checkup

      This CRAZY kid is a MOVER.... Doctor verBeek, my first appointment with the new male doctor since the previous two have left,  He explained the ultrasound to me... the baby is currently lying in the breech position which will change through the pregnancy... heart rate is 135 which it was also the same as the last appointment.
      The Doctor had a hard time finding the heart beat since the CRAZY kid was moving all over the place... I think it took him at least 3 minutes to find it cause he kept running away... it made me laugh.
      Then he told me that when I come back from watching my sisters kids that I have the Gloucose Test... I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO not excited for.... from the way that he explained it, I get my blood drawn then drink some sugary crap and wait an hour and take more blood and if the sugar blood is higher then they do it again but a 3 hour period.... NO NEEDLES!!!

      So Yesterday was the big day, the day we got to find out if we were going to have a Boy or a Girl! At my last appointment they told me i had to drink 20-40oz of water about 45 minutes before my appointment, I did as i was told and lets just say that having to wait maybe 20 minutes with a very very very full bladder is NOT FUN!

      So after waiting a while the Lady who was to do my Ultrasound came out and asked us if we were the 4pm appointment, saying yes she then told us that there was one more person she had to do and then she would be right with us. Then she asked me if I needed to pee and I told her yes... "why don't you go to the bathroom, DON'T empty your bladder just enough to be comfortable." ARE YOU KIDDING emptying my bladder would make me comfortable... I got to say it was really hard not to just empty it, I had to exercise some control...

    So when she finally came for us I was still feeling the need to pee, but she took us back to the room and i got myself all prepped and ready to start this puppy! The sensation of her pushing on my belly and having a full bladder didn't feel good, sometimes it even kinda hurt but not unbearably. She had a hard time trying to find his man business but she found it....

     During the ultra sound we heard his heartbeat, about 135, and we saw all four chambers of his heart, his brain, We watching him yawn, and it seemed that he was fascinated with his hands because he kept opening them and closing them. She had a hard time trying to get him to move said he liked his little pocket... and once during the ultrasound she said... "oh his hand his getting close to his third leg." I thought that that was pretty funny!

     I am really excited to have a Boy and for the last few months I knew that it was going to be a boy without a doubt but i kept the hope alive for a little girl.... But I am glad that I got a

Me: I am going to eat this apple its good for you.

Me: *Hello again apple* Okay mommy is going to eat some yogurt, some yummy grapes 
and some orange juice.

Me: * Hello again breakfast* Okay really mommy is going to eat some Kiwi and its really good I think that you will like it....

Me: Alright now untill we get home for the beach I am going to eat goldfish and drink some water... we will be home in a minute....

Me: *hello this mornings breakfast, oh hello goldfish* OKAY FINE mommy is going to eat some broccoli, cucumbers, a peanut granola bar and some ice cream... please be nice to mommy....

Me: Is only 6:30 in the morning and I am going to eat a banana and drink a glass of milk, go back to bed but then when I get up we shall eat okay...


Baby: num num num num... I don't know about this said banana, I want a warm bath......

      I really hate this morning sickness....... but I thought that I would post a picture of the belly!!

Babies, Babies and more babies.... Well maybe just one baby!

     
       Alright this time I am posting cause I am PREGNANT!!
I really had no idea that I was because I had been feeling dizzy, and like I was going to throw up so in talking to my mother she thought I was coming down with the flu and I really thought so considering Charlie was the only one that got a flu shot (only because he works at the Hospital) and I thought I was coming down with it.
      Then I went home for thanksgiving, SURPRISED the heck out of my mom and my greeting was her screaming "BIRDIE" and naturally as my mother does... She cried. Oh also keep in mind that Charlie kept telling me I was pregnant and it was not the flu. So that I was talking to my sister Jandre and Renee about the fact that I was having these cramps and it was the day before I was suppose to start my period (I am regular, I will either start the day before or the day of the last time of my period) and I still hadn't gotten it. They smiled...
      So the next day was thanksgiving and all was well, I could STUFF my face, I think that I ate more then I normally do on thanksgiving.... Oh well. But we were staying at my sisters and she happened to have an extra pregnancy test as informed to me by my brother-in-law... Now before we actually left for Spokane I had a thought that How funny would it have been to find out that I was Pregnant on thanksgiving and then tell my family I was pregnant... How Ironic!!  
      I simply felt the need to take it since we were staying at his parents house the next day, so i asked my sister if I could use it.... "I guess so" I ran up to the bathroom and found it, closed the door and was ready to do it when my sister knocked on the door "Let me in" I Remember letting her in and saying something, then she handed me a cup for me to pee in.. I was a little reluctant what if someone drank out of it or something... I proceeded to pee and Jandre put the pregnancy test into the pee... and then we waited.
      By the time that the results were ready my sister had her back to the counter and I leaned over and looked... PREGNANT... was in big bold black letters. My sister got to look at it she was excited. I grabbed the test and she and I walked downstairs were Charlie and Forrest were watching Top Gear. I showed him, he looked down and then to me again "are you serious" No I had Jandre pee on it.... I was a little worried that he wasn't happy, he told me that he was but he was scared and nervous, he thought that somehow he might screw up that child...
      Next thing was to call my mom, we had kinda skirted around it but also telling her, she was shocked and then of course she started to cry.... and she kept asking why I felt the urge to take it "because she had a pregnancy test and I don't have money to buy one and I am staying at the in-laws tomorrow and I know they don't have any."
      But all in all I am really excited, we have our names picked out for if we have a boy or girl and I am really praying for a girl!!! 
      So July 31 we shall have a Liam Wylie Cory or a
Sophee Anne-Elise Cory but I will say that the cravings have started. Around christmas time they have small tubs of the soft peppermint candies that you put in your coco well I bought 2 of them and ate one whole tub by the time I went to bed that night...
